Sharon J. Schmidt

Sharon J. Schmidt, 65, of Shelbyville, passed away at her residence.
Born September 15, 1952 in Logansport, she was the daughter of
William Arthur and Edith (Bright) Gehring. She married Walter "Bud"
Schmidt and he passed away in 2015.

Survivors include her father William Arthur of Naples, Florida, and mother
Edith Gehring of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Mrs. Schmidt had lived in this area for one year after moving from Naples,
Florida. She had been employed at her father's Dairy Queen in Florida for
several years. She had also been employed at Shelbyville Wal Mart as a
clerk/stocker for several years. She graduated from Logansport High School
in 1970.

Sharon loved the outdoors, animals, bowling with friends, playing sports, &
watching football with her father. She was a "people person" with a bubbly
personality, who enjoyed working with the public.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at
Blue Ridge Cemetery. Rev. David Humphrey will officiate.
