Ruth Stine

Ruth Stine, 98, of Shelbyville, passed away September 27, 2017 at Walker House.
Born May 21, 1919 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of William Monty Snyder
and Myrtle (Garrison) Snyder. She married Clarence R. "Bill" Stine on November 25, 1939
and he passed away on April 24, 1996.

Survivors include daughter Carol Ann Cooprider (husband Harold "Bud") of Shelbyville;
granddaughters Allison Dawn Sampson & Susanne Marie Meredith, grandson Jason
Russell Stine; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse,
son William Roland Stine, 7 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Stine was a lifetime resident of this area and was a charter member of Baptist Temple/
Hope's Point Baptist Church. She had been employed for over 13 years as a cafeteria worker/
baker for Shelbyville Central Schools.

Ruth loved her job at the school serving the students their lunch. She enjoyed baking, working in
her garden, reading the Bible, and truly loved her Lord.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 am at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Visitation will be observed on Friday, September 29, 2017 from
4-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
