Russell "Buck" Kuhn Obituary (1924

Russell "Buck" Kuhn, 91, died at his home Friday Oct. 14, 2016. He was born in Shelbyville on Oct. 19, 1924, to Arno and Mary (Anders) Kuhn. He married Gladys O. (Wendling) Kuhn, his wife of 71 years, and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2015. Survivors include, children: Karin (Bruce) DeBaun; Kenneth (Cindy) Kuhn; John (Tamara) Kuhn; Mark (Cindy) Kuhn, all of Shelbyville; Bill (Vicki) Kuhn of Manilla; and Rex (Susan) Kuhn of Morristown; 20 grandchildren: Amy Niedlinger; Courtney DeBaun; Travis Kuhn; Mandy Coy; Molly Winzenread; Mary Parker; Andy Kuhn; Mary Trebley; Kelli Canup; Lori Grubbs; Kimberly McKenney; Tyler Claytor; Brett Kuhn; Allison Batton; Justin Kuhn; Jill Kuhn; Julie Kuhn; Stacy Rouse; Ben Kuhn; Russ Kuhn; and 38 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles Norvell; Arno Junior Kuhn; and Jack Kuhn; and a sister, Marjorie Haehl. He graduated from Waldron High School. He was a lifelong self-employed farmer. He was a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. There will be a graveside service at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 18 at the Zion Cemetery, County Roads 100 N and 700 E near Rays Crossing.
