Paul R. Scott

Paul R. Scott, 91, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away at his home on Friday, September 29, 2017. He was born August 23, 1926 in Shelby County to the late Claude R. Scott and Eliza Mohr Scott. He married Geneva Crum on May 24, 1947, and she preceded him in death in 2012. Paul is survived by two sons Craig A. (Cindy) Scott of Georgetown, IN and Rex A. (Lori) Scott of Fairland, IN.; three grandchildren Ryan, Travis & Chad Scott and 5 great grandchildren.
Paul graduated from Moral Township High School and worked for Navistar for 43 years retiring in 1985. He attended Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a member of the Fairland Masonic Lodge.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Geneva, his parents, one sister Margurite Eck and infant daughter Kay Sue Scott.
Paul enjoyed playing Euchre at the Greenfield Elks for 30 years and he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, IN with visitation at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of service. Rev. David Humphrey will officiate. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery in Hancock County. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church.
