Kathryn L. "Katie" Willey, 85, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Morristown Manor. Born January 29, 1938 in New Point, she was the daughter of Charles C. Jeffries and Mary M. (McColley) Jeffries. Survivors include 4 children- Mike Willey (Anna) of Boggstown, Rick Willey (Minh Dai) of Lilburn, GA, David Willey of Shelbyville, Brenda Willey of Shelbyville; sister Peggy Miller of Kentucky; 4 grandchildren- Carrie Harley, Justin Willey, Heather Willey and Arthur Van Willey. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandchildren Eric Willey, Crystal Willey, & several brothers and sisters. Katie was a lifetime resident of this area and attended Shelbyville High School and received her GED in 1990. She was a factory worker employed with KCL & IPC Corp. & Plastic Moldings for several years. Katie enjoyed bowling, working crossword puzzles, and dearly loved her family and the time she spent with them. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
