Jana Favors

Jana L. Favors, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Indiana University Health Campus in Indianapolis.

Born on June 3, 1957, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Troy L. Clapp and Dena Wagoner. She married David Favors on February 8, 1987, and he survives.

Other survivors include sister Michelle (Scott) Smith and brother David Wells both of Shelbyville; sister-in-law Linda (Hal) Pike; brother-in-law Harvey (Sylvia) Favors, sister-in-law Mary Favors, brother-in-law Scott (Margie) Favors, brother-in-law Tom Fallis; and nieces Jennifer Wells, Samantha Wells, and Whitney Fallis. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers- Darrell Wells, Troy L. Clapp II, sister Stacy Fallis and stepmother Anne Clapp.

Jana had lived in this area her entire lifetime and graduated from Shelbyville High School. She was a US Postal Service Mail Carrier for 28 years. Jana enjoyed going to her happy place, which was anywhere in Florida. She loved her dog Buffy, but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2:00-6:00pm at Bruner Event Center, 100 N Webster Street, St. Paul, Indiana 47272.
