Jack F. Yarnell, Sr., 90, of Fairland, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at his residence. Born March 15, 1932 in Heiskell Tennessee, he was the son of Lenard Thomas Yarnell and Grace Elizabeth (Reed) Yarnell. He married Karen Faye (Bowen) in October of 1966, and she preceded him on April 30, 2015. Survivors include 2 sons- Jack Yarnell, Jr. (wife Dalenda) of Fairland, Tim Yarnell (wife Lisa) of Gwynneville, daughter Debra Ford of Beech Grove, Tennessee; a brother Frank Yarnell (wife Linda) of Heiskell, TN.; 7 grandchildren- Matthew Yarnell, Grace Yarnell, Gail Pittman (husband Adam), Brandon Yarnell, Brooke Tuttle (husband Cody), Alysha Harris, Mika Wallace; 7 great grandchildren- Jozelynn Yarnell, Jasmine Yarnell, Blake Pittman, Luke Pittman, Cruz Pittman, Rylan Yarnell, and Isaiah Tuttle. He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, brother Bud Yarnell, 4 sisters- Lola Patt, Dorothy Warren, Estelle Patt, Etta Mae Sneed-Parker; and twin great grandchildren - Colton and Aubriana Tuttle. Mr. Yarnell had lived in this area since 1958, after moving from Tennessee. He had been a journeyman millwright for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1992 after 40 years of service. He graduated from Lowell High School in Heiskell and was a member of Triton Central Nazarene Church and Morristown Nazarene Church, and Local #1111 United Auto Workers. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing, horseback riding, and gardening. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Rudy Lee officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Greenwood. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
