Gary Wissing

Gary L. Wissing, 75, of Manilla, passed away June 13, 2026 at his residence.

Born November 25, 1950 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Wallace Wissing and Marjorie (Moore) Wissing. He married Mary (Snapp) Wissing on August 30, 1976 and she preceded him on April 7, 2017.

Survivors include 2 brothers- Mike Wissing (Chris) of Manilla, and Terry WIssing of Manilla. He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, 5 siblings- Betty Wissing, Patty Wissing, Brenda Wissing, Lloyd Wissing, and Larry Wissing.

Mr. Wissing had lived his entire life in this area, and was a lifelong self employed farmer. He graduated from Manilla High School, and was a member of American Legion Post# 70, and a 50 year member of the Manilla Volunteer Fire Department. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran.

In his younger years, Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Bennett Cemetery with Carolyn Snapp officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Memorial Squad.
