Ethel Marie White Obituary (1947 - 2022)

Ethel Marie White, 74, of Rushville, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at her residence. Born October 25, 1947 in Batesville, she was the daughter of Anthony Nunlist and Bernadina (Suttmann) Nunlist. She married William R. White on January 2, 1992 and he preceded her on July 17, 2009. Survivors include a daughter- Freida Fortmeyer (husband David) of Rushville; a son Michael White of Shelbyville; stepchildren- Tonya White of Shelbyville , David White of Indianapolis; siblings- Ella Nunlist of Greensburg, Rick Nunlist of Oldenburg, Victor Nunlist of Batesville, Edie Nunlist of Oldenburg, Ed Nunlist of Batesville; grandchildren Lee Runshe of Greenwood, Josie Fortmeyer of Rushville; great grandchildren- Ava White, Tegan Runshe, Benji Runshe, and several step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 7 siblings. Mrs. White had lived in this area for most of her lifetime, and was a home maker. Ethel enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,437 Amos Road, with Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Riley Children's Hospital, or your local animal shelter, in care of the funeral home.
