Douglas O. Bowne

Rev. Douglas O. Bowne, Jr., 69, of Nashville, IN stepped from this life into glory on February 15, 2018 and is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus. Doug was born February 29, 1948 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the late Douglas O. Bowne, Sr. and Lillian (Harpe) Bowne Parris. He attended Stranahan High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Doug was an ordained minister and pastored at West Lauderdale Baptist Church, and The Word of His Grace Fellowship in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. His mission in life was to share the free gift of God's amazing grace and unconditional love to anyone who would listen, and he continued to teach right on up until his final days. Doug came from and built a loving and devoted family. He is survived by the love of his life, Roberta "Bobbie" Bowne of 50 years, by his daughter Jennifer (Travis) Theobald of Noblesville, IN, 2 granddaughters, Brooke and Holly Theobald, 2 brothers, Edwy Bowne of Knoxville, TN, Cornelius (Juanita) Bowne of Clearwater, FL, sister, Phoebe Hughes of Nashville, TN, sister in law Esther Faircloth of N. Las Vegas, NV and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Faircloth, brother in law Buddy Hughes and sister in law Peggy Bowne. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Living Waters Community Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
