Donna Gross

Donna J. Gross of St. Paul was ushered to the heavenlies on December 31, 2024, following a brief residence at Waldron Healthcare Center.

Born Donna Jean Dietz, on December 6, 1934, to Stella (Graves) Dietz and William Dietz. She was a graduate of Manilla High School. Donna married Omer E. Gross on May 17, 1953, and he survives.

Donna and Omer shared 71 years of marriage, enjoyed the same home, as residents of St. Paul for 61 years and raised four children; Gary L Gross (Sandra Johnson), Arlan Gross, Karen Cyman (James Price), Peggy Gahimer (David Allen). They enjoyed two grandchildren, Ashley Gahimer Everhart (Blake), and Derek Gahimer (Sara Niles), and five great grandchildren, Brody, Hayden, Vivian, Dawson, and Delaney.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Walter (Ann) Dietz, Minnie (Marion) Ellis, Nancy (Nolan) Redington, Rudy (Linda) Dietz, nephews Ronald Redington (Cindy), Fred Ellis, and William (Bill &Donna) Dietz.

Donna cherished family. She possessed the gift of hospitality, being a wonderful cook/baker. She shared her love by serving others and creating a wonderful home. Donna enjoyed gardening and sewing; she spent several years as a filter queen sales associate, receiving multiple awards.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 12:00 until 2:00pm at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin Street, St. Paul, with services starting at 2:00pm. Burial will be held at the Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul.

Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Paul Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
