Delores J. Brayton

Delores J. Brayton, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday November 21, 2017 at her residence.
Born December 27, 1954 in Waldron, she was the daughter of Carl E. VanArsdall and Mary L.
(Bullard) VanArsdall. She married Charles Brayton on February 14, 1993, and he survives.

Other survivors include- son Kenton Jones (wife Sandra) of Shelbyville; 2 brothers Ed VanArsdall of
Waldron, David VanArsdall (wife Maryann) of Shelbyville; sister Brenda Harrison of Shelbyville; and
grandson Daulton Jones of Shelbyville. She is also survived by her two dogs Peanut and Flynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Brayton had lived in Indianapolis for 30 years, after moving from Shelbyville. She was an
insurance agent with Lawson Brayton Insurance Agency for several years. She and her husband
owned and operated J&J Cab Service in Shelbyville, for several years, where she learned to work
on the cabs. She also had worked as a carpenter and bartender in previous years. She graduated
from Waldron High School in 1973.

Delores loved painting, gardening, donating to numerous groups and foundations, and helping others.

No funeral services will be observed, but public viewing will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Saturday,
November 25, 2017 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.

Memorial contributions can be made to American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
