Carolyn Sue Martin

Carolyn Sue Martin, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at MHP Medical Center.
Born April 23, 1945 in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of Thomas E. Bagnall and Mabel A.
(Stokes) Bagnall. She married Thomas W. Martin on April 26, 1964 and he preceded her on August 13, 2008.

A son Thomas H. Martin (wife Linda G.) of Shelbyville survives. She was preceded in death by her parents and
her spouse.

Mrs. Martin had lived in this area since 1955 after moving from New York. She had been an Animal Care &
Control Technician for the City of Shelbyville, Shelby County Animal Shelter, for 15 years, retiring in 2000.
She had previously been a long distance operator for Indiana Bell (now AT&T) of Indianapolis for a year. She
graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1963 and was a member of the Humane Society of the United States.

Carolyn loved all animals and enjoyed watching and feeding them.

A graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date.
