Bob Stevens

Bob J. Stevens, 79, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at his residence.

Born on June 21, 1946, in Shelbyville he was the son of Bulah Jay Stevens and Ellen Martha (Loveless) Stevens. He married Phyllis G. (Wells) Stevens on June 27, 1964, and she survives.

Other survivors include a son - Troy R. (Valerie) Stevens of Shelbyville; a brother Paul (Linda) Stevens of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren-Nathan (Katelyn) Stevens, Karman (Andy) Wade, Kyle Stevens; and 4 great-grandchildren Liam & Mila Stevens, Annie and Lainey Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Timothy Stevens; 3 sisters- Glenna Mae, Betty, Edna; and 2 brothers Lawrence & Glenn Stevens.

Bob was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Shelbyville High School. He worked at GE /Wellman's for 40 years as a professional certified welder. Bob enjoyed building and shooting black powder rifles, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best friend of 70 years Tony DelliGatti. He loved spending time with his great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Van Pelt Cemetery with Pastor Daniel McDonald officiating. Everyone is invited to attend the graveside service and a time of visitation at the cemetery, starting at 10:00 am.
