Anthony L. Cord Obituary (1955

Anthony L. Cord, 63, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at his residence. Born January 6, 1955 in Shelbyville, he was the son of James Cord and Helen (Beyer) Cord. Hemarried Linda (Guidi) Cord on April 7, 1984 and she preceded him on September 8, 2005. Survivors include: a son Jeremy Cord (wife Crystal) of Shelbyville, daughter Megan Cord of Indianapolis,3 step daughters Jennifer Richeson (husband Steve) of Greensburg, Suzanne Lovitt (husband Chad)of Shelbyville,Amanda Haehl (significant other John May) of Fishers; siblings Jim Cord (wife Linda) of Shelbyville,Dan Cord (wife Pam) of Shelbyville, Marilyn Tempel (husband Ed) of Missouri, Rosie Swain (husband Herb) of Greensburg; and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his spouse. Mr. Cord had lived his entire lifetime in this area, and graduated from Waldron High School in 1973. He was employedas a maintenance supervisor at NSG in Shelbyville for many years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of Knights ofColumbus. Tony enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time with his family. A Celebration of Life will be 7:00 pm Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 AmosRoad, with visitation there from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
